Outdoor activities continue this week on our One Museum Square blog! In addition to hikes and enjoying beach sunsets, we love all the Los Angeles picnic spots. In addition to the one just across the street from our Miracle Mile apartments at the La Brea Tar Pits, we are surrounded by parks perfect for a picnic.
Where to Find the Best Los Angeles Picnic Spots
The La Brea Tar Pits Museum Lawn
As we just mentioned, our first picnic spot is just steps away from your Miracle Mile apartments for rent on Wilshire Boulevard. If you have family in town, make a day of it! Start at the La Brea Tarpits, take a photo in front of the LACMA Urban Lights, and finish off with a picnic on the La Brea Tar Pits Museum Lawn. We suggest this spot for a family picnic because the ground has a small incline, perfect for a good old-fashioned hill rolling for the younger ones.
Echo Park Lake
If you are looking for more activities along with your picnic, head on over to Echo Park Lake. Tall trees and waterfront picnic opportunities surround the park grounds. Not only does the waterfront make for a beautiful view, but you can go pedal boating! Did we mention that pedal boat options include swan boats?
Palisades Park
If you are looking for beach breezes and palm trees, this is the spot for you. Just a short drive away from your Mid-city apartments for rent is the Santa Monica Palisades Park. It features 26.4 acres along Ocean Avenue with tons of great spots to lay down a blanket, plus a designated picnic area with tables.
Lake Hollywood Park
Your Mid-Wilshire apartments are very close to Hollywood and West Hollywood with some great picnic locations as well. Our favorite in Hollywood near your apartments for rent is Lake Hollywood Park.

Whether it is you and a book, you and a group of your best friends, or even that special someone, any one of these picnic spots near your apartments on Wilshire Boulevard will be perfect.
